To expand the global reach of Universitas Gadjah Mada scholars, Universitas Gadjah Mada and Springer Nature Research will hold a virtual workshop for selected graduate students, postgraduate students, and faculty members (lecturers or researchers) at Universitas Gadjah Mada with qualification in all fields.

The Nature Masterclasses Live - Expert Trainer-led Workshop is a three-day virtual workshop with 24 sections that divided into 6 consecutive webinar series, starting from 9 am to 4 pm.

9–11 am Webinar 1: Effective academic writing Importance of clear communication, logical flow & structure, improving readability, and writing strategies.
2–4 pm Webinar 2: Logical manuscript structure Planning your manuscript, introduction, methods, results, and discussion.
Day 2 | Tue, Aug 15
9–11 am Webinar 3: Maximizing discoverability Impactful titles, effective keywords, abstracts, and improving visibility.
2–4 pm Webinar 4: Preparing impactful figures Importance of figures and tables, choosing the right graph, presenting numerical data in tables, preparing clear and accurate images, and writing clear figure captions.

9–11 am Webinar 5: Successful submission strategies Journal selection, journal evaluation, efficient submission strategies, and impactful cover letters.
2–4 pm Webinar 6: Navigating editorial decisions and peer review The peer review process, editorial decisions and letters, writing response letters, and after final decisions.

Kemdikbud Ristek RI mengelola sebuah platform yang dinamakan Sinta yang merupakan akronim dari Science and Technology Index. Platform tersebut digunakan untuk mendata, memetakan dan mengukur kinerja riset yang dilaksanakan oleh dosen dan peneliti berdasarkan ragam luaran penelitian dan pengembangan. Melalui surat Kemdikbud RI nomor 0324/E5.3/KI.03.00/2022, dosen dan peneliti di perguruan tinggi didorong untuk memutakhirkan data profil mereka pada sistem Sinta dengan menambahkan informasi nomor id peneliti di portal Garuda dan Publons. Penambahan kedua id peneliti tersebut akan memperkaya konten yang ditampilkan pada sistem Sinta sehingga informasi terkait publikasi ilmiah dosen dan peneliti tidak hanya bersumber dari Scopus dan Google Scholar, akan tetapi juga bersumber dari Web of Science (WoS) dan Portal Garuda.

Publons merupakan sebuah layanan online untuk membantu peneliti dalam membangun sebuah profil yang berisi riwayat aktivitas-aktivitas riset yang telah dilakukan. Publons memiliki kemampuan untuk melacak dan memamerkan aktivitas ilmiah para peneliti, baik itu dalam perannya sebagai penulis, reviewer, maupun sebagai editor pada jurnal ilmiah. Layanan ini juga menyediakan informasi terkait sitasi yang diperoleh oleh seorang penulis berdasarkan artikel-artikel ilmiah yang dipublikasikan melalui website WoS.
