Wednesday, March 2, 2022, BPP UGM held a virtual workshop on holding an international conference with proceedings indexed by Scopus 2022. This event was attended by 25 participants of which were representatives from the work unit which will hold an international conference in 2022. This event was opened by the Head of BPP UGM, Prof. Widodo, S.P., M.Sc., Ph.D. In his speech, he conveyed that the milestone of UGM publication in Scopus has reached three million documents per year. One of them is a contribution from the output of an international conference published in the Scopus index proceedings. This shows that the trend of holding international conferences is increasingly oriented towards the output of the publications, not only event ceremonials. Hence, the preparation for holding an international conference before and after the event is crucial. BPP UGM fully supports international conferences initiated by the work unit at UGM. BPP UGM has prepared various assistance and incentives related to international conferences. In addition, BPP UGM is also ready to assist the organizers to prepare for an international conference.
On this occasion, Head of Publication and Journal BPP UGM, Ratih Fitria Putri, S.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D, and Head of Publishing and Printing BPP UGM, Dr. I Wayan Mustika., M.Eng, as the speaker delivered materials about the preparation for holding international conferences and how to collaborate with reputable publishers. It is hoped that after the workshop, the international conferences in UGM can improve in terms of the output’s quantity and quality and boost the publication and reputation of UGM in general.
