Winner of UGM Achievement Person for Publication in 2021

Every year UGM gives awards to UGM academicians who excel in various categories, one of which is in the field of publications and citations where this award is given to UGM lecturers who actively publish their research results in reputable international journals that have high impact factors and citations impacts. In 2021, five UGM lecturers with the best publications and citations were selected as winners.

For the field of Social-Humanities, Dr. M. Falikul Isbah, GDSoc., MA, from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, was chosen as the winner in his article entitled “Pesantren in the changing Indonesian context: History and current developments” which was published in the Qudus International Journal of Islamic Studies. For the field of Agro, Prof. Dr. Ir. Chusnul Hidayat, from the Faculty of Agricultural Technology was chosen as the winner in his article entitled “Enzymatic and chemical synthesis of high mono- and diacylglycerol from palm stearin and olein blend at different types of reactor stirrers” which was published in the Journal of the Saudi Society of Agricultural Sciences.

For the field of Health, Prof. dr. Adi Utarini, M.Sc., MPH., Ph.D., from the Faculty of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing was chosen as the winner in his article entitled “Efficacy of Wolbachia-infected mosquito deployments for the control of dengue” which was published in the New British Journal of Medicine. For the engineering field, Chandra Wahyu Purnomo, ST, ME, M.Eng., D.Eng., from the Faculty of Engineering was chosen as the winner in his article entitled “Technological review on thermochemical conversion of COVID-19-related medical wastes” which was published in Resources, Conservation, and Recycling.

For the field of science, Prof. Yusril Yusuf, S.Si., M.Si., M.Eng., D.Eng., Ph.D., from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences was chosen as the winner in his article entitled “Nanofibrous poly (vinyl alcohol)/ chitosan contained carbonated hydroxyapatite nanoparticles scaffold for bone tissue engineering” published in Materials Science and Engineering C.

The award certificate was handed over directly by the Vice-Chancellor for Planning, Finance, and Information Systems, Supriyadi, Ph.D., M.Sc., CA., Ak. on Wednesday, November 17th, 2021, at the “Award Night for People of Universitas Gadjah Mada with Achievements 2021” which was held at Grha Sabha Pramana UGM. The awarding is expected further to ignite the interest of the UGM academic community to work and implement the tri dharma of higher education, one of which is by actively writing scientific articles and publishing them in reputable journals that have high impact factors and citation impacts.
