UGM Press signed cooperation MoU with five UGM faculty libraries, they are Faculty of Biology, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Social and Political Science, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, and Faculty of Geography in order to establish cooperation in disseminate information sources through books published by UGM Press. UGM Press have signed the MoU with libraries of Faculty of Biology, Pharmacy, and Social and Political Science on January 14, 2020, and with libraries of Faculty of Cultural Sciences and Geography on January 17, 2020. UGM Press have published thousands of book titles so far that can be used for students’ references. UGM Press continues to innovate to make it easier for students to access books by providing them in both libraries. It began with the students’ needs to access books written by lecturers which were published by UGM Press that can be learning references.
Rusna Nur Aini, A.Md., librarian of Faculty of Biology UGM stated her appreciation towards the cooperation between UGM Press and the faculty library, “This cooperation can make it easy for students to look for such quality references because they no longer bothered to find the book in UGM Press Showroom, but they can come directly to the library”, said Rusna.
UGM Press Manager, Dr. I Wayan Mustika is fully appreciated the cooperation, he also stated his hope that it will be continue in the future. “I really appreciate this cooperation, we hope this will make students easier to access the UGM Press books and encourage the lecturers to write and publish books. Moreover, this also happened as the efforts to educate the nation through quality books that gives knowledge to anyone.” [Adinda]
