Bandung Book Feast 2018 is one of the annual book festivals which held by Ikatan Penerbit Indonesia (IKAPI) Jawa Barat works with Pemprov Jawa Barat (West Java Government) supported by Pemkot Bandung (Bandung City Government). This event has been held for a long time to increase attention toward Indonesia literature and it has been the annual event for UGM Press. This is one of the ways to introduce UGM Press and all its books to students and wider society.
“UGM’s job is to make reputable academic publisher recognized nationally or internationally. It needs publication, socialization, and promotion, so many scientific works could be recognized and accepted in society nationally or internationally” said Dr. I Wayan Mustika as Manager of UGM Press.
In this year, UGM Press participated again in Pesta Buku Bandung (Bandung Book Festivals) 2018. To those who need a book for references or book lovers could come to Landmark Convention Hall, Jl. Braga 129 Bandung on March 1st – 7th at booth number 25-26 started from 9am until 9pm.
It officially opened by Sekda Jabar (West Java Regional Secretary), Dr. H. Iwa Karniwa, S.E., Ak., M.M., CA., PIA., on Thursday, March 1st 2018 at 9am until 12pm. After that, it continued with book discussion “Bunga Rampai Penelitian Bahasa dan Sastra” with Dr. H. Moh. Rachmat, M.Pd.and Hj. Rani Siti Fitriani, M.Hum.as a speaker. Every day it enlivens with various series of interesting event which is bring benefit, such as monitoring, kids’ games, and socialization that invites a great speaker. The peak of this event is Writing Contest (Lomba Penulisan) with prize 25 million rupiahs in total. This event will be closed with a closing ceremony which held on Wednesday, March7th 2018 at 7pm-8pm, it was following with prize allotment for the winner.
