UGM Press as the academic publisher returned for the third time in Bandung, as a participant in the Bandung Book Festival event which will be held on April 4-10, 2019 at the Landmark Building Jalan Braga No. 129 Bandung.
Chairperson of IKAPI West Java, Mahpudi, MT, said on Monday (1/4/2019) that the event was themed the Urang Bandung Democracy Stage, in collaboration with the West Java Provincial Government and supported by the Bandung City Government, attended by 100 book publishers and UGM specialists Press is the only publisher from universities from outside West Java Province.
“The Bandung Book Festival was held for 12 hours, from 09.00 a.m. 21.00 WIB, and visitors are not charged the entry fee or free entry. The book publishers present will also give special discounts, especially from UGM Press, “said Mahpudi.
UGM Manager Press, Dr. I Wayan Mustika, S.T., M. Eng., Said that again the presence of UGM Press in Bandung this year at the Bandung Book Festival was to provide good reading with quality books that were affordable.
“Reflecting from last year, we are very happy because the interest of the West Java community in the UGM Press book is still high so that the presence of UGM Press in this event is still needed,” said Wayan.
Head of UGM Publishing and Publication Agency, Widodo, SP, M.Sc., Ph.D., welcomed UGM Press to be able to participate again at the Bandung Book Festival as support for activists and lovers of literacy, and is one of the ways that can be done to introduce UGM Press and books by UGM Press to students and the wider community.
“The presence of UGM Press at the Bandung Book Festival can produce good output in achieving the book marketing performance target through its participation in IKAPI events,” Widodo said.
