Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) has succeeded in delivering the journals to be indexed by Scopus. On October 17th, 2020, one of the journals managed by UGM, the ASEAN Journal on Science and Technology for Development (AJSTD), was accepted in the Scopus database.
AJSTD is a journal published by ASEAN COST that is jointly managed by 10 ASEAN countries. In 2018, Indonesia was appointed as the focal point to bring the relay management of AJSTD which was previously in Malaysian hands.
The management of AJSTD in Indonesia is coordinated by the Ministry of Research and Technology and mandated to UGM. At UGM, the management of AJSTD began in mid-2017 for the preparation and full management stages from 2018 until now.
The support from the Ministry of Research and Technology and the editorial team of the AJSTD team at UGM made the AJSTD journal successfully indexed by Scopus in a relatively fast time. The process of submitting AJSTD indexation to Scopus was carried out on March 17th, 2020. After going through various stages of selection, AJSTD was declared accepted on October 17th, 2020. This adds to the list of UGM journals indexed on Scopus to eight journals as follows:

  1. Gadjah Mada International Journal of Business (GamaIJB)
  2. Indonesian Journal of Chemistry (IJC)
  3. Indonesian Journal of Geography (IJG)
