UGM Press was moved from Jalan Grafika to the new building located at Jalan Sendok, Caturtunggal, Sleman, after 5 decades. Head of BPP UGM, Widodo, M.Sc., Ph.D., delivered his gratitude upon completion of UGM Press central building’s construction. The refinement stage will be continued as well as the work duty of the workers. All the blessing goes to the residents and all the UGM Press workers. The Vice Rector for Research and Community Service, drg. Ika Dewi Ana, M.Kes., Ph.D., attended the event and asked for permission to the residents to run activities there. Symbolically, she turned over the yellow rice (well known as the dish to celebrate something formal) to UGM Press Manager and headman of Karanggayam, H. Priyanto, BA. Moch. Najib Yuliantoro, M. Phil., was conducted the recitation of the Quran by Al-Hikmah students to be the opening prayer to start the activity of publishing and printing. This event marked as one of the long term developments at the Faculty of Engineering environment. UGM Press is closer now with society so that it is hoped that the books also be more accessible and be more impactful. [Adinda]
