ARJUNA (Akreditasi Jurnal Nasional) is department of journal accreditation from Kemenristek Dikti which has authority to give accreditation to online journal in central research and college. Its instrument valuing ARJUNA to applies many complex categories such as, naming journal, institutional, sorting, substance, writing style, and indexing. Each categories had selected the available criteria and point. Do in valuing ARJUNA choose two reviewers who will valuing a journal to be accredited. Many journal writers aren’t understand about the complexity of criteria and points of ARJUNA valuation. There are many unselected journals, 5 unselected journals in previous selection period, because of low scored that counted by ARJUNA’s reviewer, in this point OJS clinic invites the owner of unselected journal to participate in learning every instrument ARJUNA reviewer’s valuation.
There were Poetika the Journal from Post graduated Faculty of Literature, Human and Environment and Central of Life Environment Study, Buletin Psychology from Psychology Faculty and Filsafat Journal from Filsafat Faculty. In this clinic also invites some of accredited journals owner to share information and exchange experience to all of journal owners. Mr.Andiran Dion and Mr. Andry also attend to this event, they are from OJS UGM and Mr. Syahrul as head of sub-department BPP UGM Journal which guide and share solution about system and reviewer’s comment.
Placed in PIKA meeting room Rektorat UGM at 3rd floor west-side building, one by one the journal managers who are not selected get accross ARJUNA reviewer’s comment about their submitted journals. Some of them said that they didn’t get the point to reviewer’s comment, Mr. Fadli said “we didn’t know about some of comments because it is inappropriated with the valuing instrument, it might be copied like valuing the other journals”.
Thus, the most point which given by negative comments from ARJUNA’s reviewer is about the content of their journals doesn’t show impaction scientific. Mr.Andry gives solution like he said” the way to make impaction scientific journal is requiring journal writer to citing in paper which foward to your journal, so more citing within paper is more valuable impaction scientific journal, another one is about the credibility of journal editor. This case Mr. Andry suggested to enclose lastest CV that containing reviewer’s paper of goolge scholar account “So, usually reviewer just look to editor profile, when editor had google scholar account, especially have Scopus.id account and it can be credible, “So all of you must submit google scholar account because it’s a big deal”
After all editors explain, Mr. Andry do presentation about information of instrument values and also available score for rising up accredibility of ARJUNA. This guidance is really important to editors for improvement and find out to resolve or ploblems that unselected. Perhaps they can apply and get accreditation in the next period. (Mifta)
