Held as part of the Universitas Gadjah Mada Annual Scientific Conferences (UASC 2018) series, the 1 ^st International Conference on Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, and Biomedical Engineering (BioMIC 2018) provides an ideal academic platform for researchers to present the latest research findings and describe emerging technologies and directions in bioinformatics, biotechnology, and biomedical engineering.

This year, five symposia will be held, Bioinformatics and Biological Data Mining symposium; Biomedical Science and Engineering symposium; Biomolecular and Biotechnology symposium; Drug Development and Nutraceutical symposium; and Genetic Resources and Uses symposium.

The accepted and presented papers will be submitted in the following journals/proceedings indexed by Scopus, Clarivate analytics, DOAJ, EBSCO, or DIKTI: AIP Conference Proceedings; Indonesian Journal of Pharmacy; Indonesian Journal of Biotechnology; and Traditional Medicine Journal.
