The UGM’s Book Writing Workshop was held on Wednesday, February 10th, 2021. This event is a routine agenda of the Badan Penerbit dan Publikasi (BPP UGM) to improve the quality and quantity of book writing for all academic society members.  

This virtual event presented two competent speakers, Dr. Ana Nadhya Abrar, M.E.S. from Faculty of Social and Political Sciences and dr. Abdul Ghofir, Sp.S (K) from Faculty of Medicine, Public Health and Nursing who is trusted to provide material about tips on becoming a reliable and best-selling tridharma writer. The two speakers are writers who actively publish their books both at UGM Press and in reputable foreign publishers. In his remarks, the Head of BPP UGM expressed his gratitude for the participation and enthusiasm of the participants in the workshop. Through this event, it is hoped that in the future more books and manuscripts will be published to support the achievements of university publications.

In addition, the event which was attended by 134 participants also held a socialization program of grants and rewards for book publication at BPP UGM by the Head of Publishing and Printing at BPP UGM, Dr. I Wayan Mustika, S.T., M.Eng. It aimed to provide an overview of book publishing at UGM Press, representatives from the UGM Press marketing and editorial department were also present to explain the flow of publishing and marketing at UGM Press to all participants.
