Badan Penerbit dan Publikasi Universitas Gadjah Mada had continues to make efforts to keep the journals published by the work units at UGM have an international reputation. One of the efforts made by BPP UGM is to foster and facilitate the filing of indexation in internationally reputable databases, such as Scopus, Web of Science (WoS), and ASEAN Citation Index (ACI). In November 2017, six of UGM’s journals were declared accepted for indexing in ACI. The six journals are Journal of Psychology, Bulletin of Psychology, Humanities, Journal of Indonesian Economy and Business, Journal of Teknosains and Kawistara. ACI is an indexing database initiated by the Thai Citation Index (TCI) at the 2011 TCI meeting. The Purpose of ACI is to enhance research development in ten Southeast Asian countries. The criteria to be indexed in ACI are, clear journal scope, published online, articles published through peer review process, have highly committed and reputable editors, and published regularly. If the journal have the general criteria, then the subsequent process is a substantial assessment.
These results further add to the list of journals in UGM were successfully indexed in ACI into nine journals. BPP will continue to increase the number of journals proposing indexing on other international database to further improve the quality of UGM’s journals. (BPP UGM-Miftha)
