
Badan Penerbit dan Publikasi Universitas Gadjah Mada (BPP UGM) held the Nature Research Academies (NRA) Workshop for the third and fourth times at the end of 2020. The 3rd NRA workshop was held from 30th November to 2nd December 2020 for the field of life science, while the fourth NRA workshop on 3rd, 4th, and 7th December 2020 for the field of social science.
The NRA workshop is BPP’s effort to improve the quality and quantity of scientific publications from the UGM academic community in indexed international journals/proceedings by inviting a trainer from Nature Research Academies. The workshop materials were delivered directly by Dr. Jeffrey Robens, editorial development manager for Nature Research Academies. In these webinars, participants are trained to understand the process of writing effective scientific articles along with tips and tricks so that the participant’s article manuscripts can be published by an indexed international journals/proceedings.
More than 450 participants took part in online training through the GoToWebinar platform. The participants are lecturers, educational staff, and UGM postgraduate students from various disciplines. Every year, the NRA workshop is able to attract the UGM academic community to join it. This can be seen from the increase in the number of participants from year to year. After participating in this training, participants are expected to be more productive in writing scientific articles and publishing them in reputable international journals. (Kiki)
