BPP UGM continues to improve the quality of international seminar outcomes organized by work units within UGM so that it is indexed by reputable international databases, such as Scopus. Thursday, February 20, 2020 at the Multimedia Room 1 UGM Central Building, BPP held a workshop “Penyelenggaraan Seminar Internasional dengan Luaran Prosiding Terindeks pada Database Bereputasi Tahun 2020”.
60 participants from work units attended the workshop. Secretary of BPP UGM, Dr. Mutiah Amini, M. Hum., opened the event and said that BPP UGM gives assistance facility in article management process which is hoped that the seminar is indexed in reputable international publications.
There were three speakers invited in this workshop, they are Ratih Fitria Putri, S.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D., from Faculty of Geography UGM as the speaker in first session which talked about Scopus indexed proceedings. In the second session, Dr. I Wayan Mustika, S.T., M.Eng., from Faculty of Engineering UGM presented about scientific proceeding publications in IEEE. In the third session, Dr. Tri Rini Nuringtyas, M.Sc. from Faculty of Biology UGM explained about technical preparation in holding international seminar, such as AIP, EDP, and TransTech. The event was running interactively while participants enthusiastically asking questions to the three of them. The event was ended by Head of Publication Subdivision, Siti Uswatun Hasanah, STP., as she said that BPP opens three grants supporting the seminar. Those three were for the assistance in organizing international seminar, international visiting scholars program, and proceeding awards in indexed international publication. [Rozy&Adinda]
