BPP held a book and manuscript writing workshop on Thursday, February 27, 2020 took place at Sekip Room UGM UC Hotel in order to support UGM’s academics in publishing their research work into a book. UGM lecturers and educators attended the event. Head of BPP UGM, Widodo, M.Sc., Ph.D., opened the event and encouraged UGM lecturers to enhance productivity in writing, because UGM Press is ready to publish UGM’s academics’ books with online management system, which is SIGAP. Authors can monitor the book publication process through this system.
Prof. Dr. Janianton Damanik, M.Si. from FISIPOL UGM and Dra. Sugihastuti, M.S. from FIB UGM were attended as speaker. Dr. I Wayan Mustika, M. Eng. as moderator lead the discussion with 71 participants. At the end of the event, UGM editorial and marketing team were participated as well and participants who bring manuscript could also ask for consultation. Participants were hoped to be more motivated to write books, not only got knowledge about grammar and writing strategy from the event. [Adinda]
