BPP Held an Academic Writing for Social Sciences Workshop

Universitas Gadjah Mada as a research university constantly striving to encourage an increasing number of lecturers and research publications in internationally reputable journals. Through BPP, UGM facilitates activities that can increase interest in producing quality writings and contribute significantly to the various disciplines.

In order to support the success of UGM in the field of publication, BPP held Workshop of Academic Writing for Social Sciences on Monday, 12 March 2018 at Multimedia Room II, UGM Central Building, as the speaker, Ilan Alon, Ph.D. (Professor of Strategy and International Marketing at the University of Adger and editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Emerging Markets (IJOEM) and European Journal of International Management (EJIM).

On this workshop, Ilan Alon, Ph.D., provided material about writing for peer reviewed journal’s. Various strategies and tricks to be accepted in reputable international journals submitted by Ilan Alon, Ph.D. on this occasion. Including how to make a good title, abstract, introduction, content and conclusions. The event was followed by an interactive discussion between Ilan Alon, Ph.D., and the participants.

The workshop was opened by Head of BPP UGM, Widodo, M.Sc, Ph.D., who in his speech said that the target of publication performance of UGM in 2018, are 2200 publications. The number of performance targets this publication has increased from the year 2017 amounted to 1200 publications. Therefore, the workhsop of academic writing for social sciences is one of the efforts to produce good publications from social clusters of humanities. The workshop of academic writing for social sciences was closed by giving souvenir by Head of Publication and Journal of BPP UGM, Dr. Tri Rini Nuringtyas, M.Sc. (BPP / Syahrul & Detta)
