The book review was held on Friday (21/02/2020) which was located at Pendopo Wirosaban, Jl. P. Wirosaban UH 6/ 646, Bantul, Yogyakarta was appreciated by the local residents. This event was organized by Regional Library and Archives Service (DPAD) Special Region of Yogyakarta and attended by 150 participants who are local residents and BAPPEDA DIY representative as the speaker and the essential board in city management.
The book entitled “Pengembangan Perkotaan: dalam Era Tekonologi Informasi dan Komunikasi” written by Dr. Rini Rachmawati, S.Si., M.T. who is part of Faculty of Geography UGM civitas academica, focused in information and communication technology which has affected the human lives especially in the area of city development.

Rini Rachmawati as the author stated her enthusiasm when given such an honor to explain her book. “I really appreciate the people who came for knowing this further about information and communication technology developed in this 4.0 industry era which has such a significant impact in city management. I hope this book can open the horizons of public knowledge”, said her.
“I am very supportive to this book review event which directly addressed for public. These books published by UGM Press are not only to be enjoyed by civitas academica, but also for public facility”, said UGM Press manager, Dr. I Wayan Mustika.

Kepala Bidang Pembinaan dan Pengembangan Dinas Perpustakaan dan Arsip Daerah Provinsi DIY, Djuli Sugiarto, S. Sos., M.P. memberi pujian atas acara ini. Selain untuk meningkatkan literasi masyarakat atas rendahnya minat baca warga Indonesia, bedah buku ini juga mengedukasi masyarakat mengenai teknologi yang berkembang pesat bahkan juga berimbas pada pengembangan perkotaan sebagai langkah untuk menghasilkan output berupa strategi terbarukan untuk menjawab tantangan atas dinamika perkotaan dan selanjutnya dapat mempermudah hidup masyarakat.
The Head of Guidelines and Development of DPAD DIY, Djuli Sugiarto, S. Sos., M.P., praised this event. Besides to increase the literacy of society due to the lack of reading interest of Indonesian people, this event was also educated the society about rapidly developing technology as a step to produce outputs in the form of renewable strategies to answer the challenges of urban dynamics and subsequently facilitate community life.
