One of the authors of the book Building Tourism from the Bottom, Destha Titi Raharjana, said that tourism has a strategic role and a large contribution to the welfare of society, with the preservation of ecosystems and local culture. “The purpose of publishing this book is to portray rural tourism development which was actively sponsored by the state in 2010, d. 2012, with three main issues, namely the political economy mission, bottom-up approach, and the role and potential for conflict from planning-implementation, “said Destha from the UGM Center for Tourism Studies.

The head of the Sleman Tourism Office, Sudarningsih, said that the book Building Tourism from the Bottom could encourage tourism development in Tirtoadi, Mlati District, Sleman.
