Badan Penerbit dan Publikasi of Gadjah Mada University (BPP UGM) received a visit from the Secretariat General of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia (DPR-RI) on Friday, November 12nd, 2021. The visit was part of the “Information Dissemination on In-House Publishing and Digital Publishing” agenda attended by 12 staff from the Parliamentary News Bureau, the Secretariat General of the DPR RI.

Head of BPP UGM, Prof. Widodo, M.Sc. Ph.D., in his speech, conveyed information about the management of publications at UGM for journals, proceedings, and books published by UGM PRESS. In addition, in particular, the Parliamentary News Bureau of the Secretariat General of the DPR RI also intends to obtain further information about digital publishing management. Dr. I Wayan Mustika explained that the Publishing and Publication Agency currently manages the publication portal digitalpress.ugm.ac.id, which is a medium for information on proceedings and books published by UGM Press. With strict publishing standards and oriented to the quality of publications, digitalpress.ugm.ac.id can support the massive dissemination of publications at UGM based on digital platforms.

Deputy for Sessions, Parliamentary News Bureau, Secretariat General of the DPR RI, Dra. Damayanti, M.Si. said that the Secretariat General of the DPR RI would like to get more detailed information regarding quality standards in the publishing and printing process so that through a visit to BPP UGM, it is hoped that this can be the first step in setting quality standards at the Parliamentary News Bureau of the Secretariat General of the DPR RI. In addition, it is hoped that there will be cooperation between the Secretariat General of the DPR RI and UGM in terms of publications.
