UGM Annual Scientific Conference (UASC) 2021 officially begins. The first series of UASC 2021 is the International Conference on Science and Technology (ICST) which will be held for the seventh time on 7th and 8th September 2021. ICST as a credible international conference has proven its quality by holding virtual events for the second time in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic.
UGM Chancellor, Prof. Ir. Panut Mulyono, M.Eng., D.Eng., IPU, ASEAN Eng., virtually warmly welcomed all participants and resource persons present at the opening of the 2021 ICST. UGM is honored and grateful to the speakers for their expertise and knowledge which will bring great discussion during the conference. ICST 2021 brings in seven competent resource persons from 5 countries, namely:
1. Prof. Shou-Yan Chou (National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, Taiwan)
2. Dr. Vooi Voon Yap (University Tunku Abdul Rahman, Malaysia)
3. Dr. Ruchi Gupta (University of Birmingham, UK)
4. Dr. Mohamad Shazwan Shah Jamil (University of Technology Malaysia, Malaysia)
5. Prof. Tomohiro Yokozeki (University of Tokyo, Japan)
6. Prof. Gil Nonato C. Santos (De La Salle University, Philippines)
7. Prof. Nobuyuki Ichikuni (Chiba University, Japan)
A total of 224 participants from 13 countries (Indonesia, Malaysia, India, Philippines, Taiwan, Japan, Iran, France, UK, Saudi Arabia, Russia, USA, and Mexico) virtually presented their research results through six ICST 2021 symposiums, namely:
1. Computer and Information Technology symposium
2.Electronics, Power, Communication, Control, and Instrumentation symposium
3. Life Sciences, Materials, and Applied Chemistry symposium
4. Mechanical and Industrial Engineering symposium
5. Remote Sensing and Geomatics symposium
6. 2nd Geoscience and Environmental Management symposium
In 2021, ICST is collaborating with – AIP Conference Proceedings, Scientific.Net, and E3S Web of Conferences to publish Scopus indexed conference results.
