Activity Institutional Capacity Building and Human Resources

On March 1-2, 2019, BPP UGM held institutional capacity building and HR activities held at the Oxalis Hotel, Magelang, Central Java. The activity, which is scheduled as an annual working meeting, aims to discuss the development of work programs and timeline activities that will be carried out by each field of work at the BPP UGM. In addition, through this activity, it is hoped that each staff member can get to know each other more through various familiarity activities. Head of BPP UGM, Widodo, S.P., M.Sc., Ph.D. expressed his hope that BPP UGM’s institutional and HR capacity development activities can produce good output in achieving the target of publication performance through innovation and increasingly close teamwork. On this occasion, he was also present as an instructor and resource person, Prof. Dr. Tina Afiatin from the Faculty of Psychology UGM. The presence of instructors in this agenda further strengthens the purpose of the activity because the participants of the activity were given material related to self-motivating techniques, tips on being successful individuals, and tips on getting to know the character of colleagues/co-workers. Incapacity building sessions, participants are invited to understand 3 important things in the world of work, namely capacity, motivation, and interrelated opportunities to support their performance. Like the final sentence from Prof. Dr. Tina Afiatin, “Self-motivation is determined by how important we are or not today”, participants were encouraged to have high motivation and enthusiasm every day. Not only psychologically driven, but also physically motivated participants to live healthy to get a fit and excellent body. Therefore, on the second day of the implementation of BPP UGM’s institutional capacity building and human resources, participants were invited to take a morning exercise together and take a walk in the beautiful nuanced Kyai Langgeng Park. Fresh air and the togetherness between the staff of the BPP UGM are increasingly tightly interwoven. This kind of activity is expected to be routinely carried out in the future to support BPP performance improvement in the coming year [Kiki / Nopi]
