BPP Holds OJS v.3 Workshop

In an effort to help managers of UGM journals to improve the quality of the appearance and content of online journals that are managed, the BPP held a version 3 OJS (Open Journal System) workshop on Tuesday, May 28, 2019. The Open Journal System (OJS) System was developed to facilitate access to scientific research easier and wider by providing an open-source platform. At present, the journal at UGM uses OJS v.2. the future is expected to migrate to OJS v.3. This system is considered very suitable for conditions in Indonesia that have a broad geographical area, besides this system is efficient because it is paperless and is considered superior compared to OJS v.2 which has a significant difference in appearance.

Present as a guest speaker, Dwi Anggara, A.Md. conveyed about the difference in appearance between OJS v.2 to OJS v.3 which includes headers, right side menu, the appearance of journal manager, editor, and reviewer accounts. In general, OJS v.3 has a more compact, easy to use display because it is built on the principle of mobile friendly and is claimed to have a safer level of data security. It is hoped that this workshop can improve the quality of e-journals and encourage the acceleration of the journal at UGM for national accreditation or international reputation in accordance with the DIKTI and the International Indexing Institute.
